Welcome to The Cloud Coalition! This is our first blog post. What is The Cloud Coalition, you might ask yourself? It’s a non-profit organization organized by a group of professionals in various disciplines with significant experience working with cloud computing. Our goal is to be an unbiased sourced of information about cloud computing in order to allow business owners and executives to better understand this phenomenon that is taking the world by storm.

We understand that there has been a lot of hype about “the cloud”, and business owners legitimately have many questions and concerns about the risks and the benefits. It can be very difficult to sort through the many different confusing statements stemming from technology vendors trying to capitalize on the cloud hype or IT professionals or non-cloud IT vendors using FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) to make people believe the world will come to an end if we all adopt this technology. The answer, as usual, lies somewhere in the middle. But you can only get to the truth if you have all the objective, unbiased information. That is our goal.
